Translation
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Thus requested, the son of Vyāsadeva gave his permission to King Parīkṣit. Then, after being worshiped by the King and all the great sages, Śukadeva departed from that place.
Bhikṣubhiḥ means “by all the great sages.”
Personal Guidance
Sukadeva grants permission and, worshiped by Pariksit and the sages, takes leave. There is a quiet dignity in spiritual goodbyes between teacher and student — neither clinging nor coldness, just permission for the next stage.
Reflection Questions
- Am I able to let someone I love move into their next stage without clinging?
- What about my own next stage am I avoiding because of attachment to the present one?
