Translation
There arose a great lamentation in all directions on the earth and in the heavens, and all the devatās, demons, human beings and other creatures were dismayed.
Personal Guidance
Lamentation rises throughout the worlds at the loss of Pariksit. Genuine saints leave a hole in the world that creation itself feels. Our mourning, properly held, can become honoring rather than only grief.
Reflection Questions
- Whose passing have I genuinely mourned, and have I let that mourning become honor?
- What in their life still teaches me, alive after they have gone?
