Translation
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Offering obeisances to my gurus, I shall repeat to you the description of the vibhūtis of Viṣṇu given in the Vedas and tantras by great authorities, beginning from lotus-born Brahmā.
He offers respects to guru in order to understand the meaning of what guru has instructed.
Personal Guidance
Suta offers obeisances to his teachers before repeating the Lord's opulences described in the Vedic tantras. Honoring teachers comes first; transmission only flows from a respectful starting point.
Reflection Questions
- Do I bow internally to my teachers before reading or speaking from them?
- How might that small gesture change what flows after?
