Gauḍīya
Translation
Sūta Gosvāmī said: Śiva, the foremost devatās and the shelter of the devotees, was satisfied by Mārkaṇḍeya's praise. Pleased, he smiled and addressed the sage.
Personal Guidance
Siva, satisfied by Markandeya's praise, smiles and addresses him. Praise that comes from real seeing produces a smile, not just acceptance. Our offerings, when sincere, gladden the recipient.
Reflection Questions
- Have I sensed the Lord smile at any of my offerings recently?
- What lets me sense that more often?
