Translation
The son of Vasudeva will be Bhūmitra, and his son will be Nārāyaṇa. These kings of the Kāṇva dynasty will rule the earth for 345 more years of the Kali-yuga.
Vasudeva and others were also called Kānva’s dynasty.
Personal Guidance
Names that once filled palaces are now just sounds in a verse. Bhāgavatam's matter-of-fact recital deflates our urge to be 'someone,' and invites us instead to be a small, loving servant of someone eternal.
Reflection Questions
- How much energy am I spending today on being seen?
- What would change if I spent that same energy on seeing Kṛṣṇa?
