For even a small amount of money these relatives and friends become very agitated and their anger is inflamed. Acting as rivals, they quickly give up all sentiments of goodwill and will reject one at a moment’s notice, even to the point of committing murder.

Translation
For even a small amount of money relatives and friends become agitated and inflamed with anger. They quickly give up all sentiments of goodwill and become envious.
Saṁrabdhāh means agitated. Sprdhaḥ means envious.
Personal Guidance
Even small amounts agitate, inflame anger, turn relatives into rivals — even to murder. Money's capacity to corrupt scales below our threshold of fear.
Reflection Questions
- Where am I underestimating how easily money disrupts relationships?
- What safeguard could I install?
