At that time I enlightened Arjuna, the tiger among men, with logical arguments, and thus in the front of the battle Arjuna addressed Me with questions in the same way that you are now inquiring.

Translation
At that time I enlightened Arjuna, the tiger among men, with logical arguments, and thus before the battle Arjuna addressed me with questions in the same way that you are now inquiring.
The Lord enlightened Arjuna with logical arguments in the front of the battle, and Arjuna's questions are similar to Uddhava's. Reason has its place even in the heart's deepest crises.
Reflection Questions
  • Where might I be neglecting clear reasoning in a moment that calls for it?
  • Can both reason and devotion serve me at once?
