At that time all his brothers followed him on beautiful chariots drawn by first-class horses decorated with gold ornaments. With them were Vyāsa and ṛṣis like Dhaumya [the learned priest of the Pāṇḍavas] and others.

Translation
His brother and brāhmaṇas such as Vyāsa and Dhaumya followed behind with chariots decorated with gold and fine horses.
All his brothers followed him on beautiful chariots; sages came too. Hard journeys are best made in company. Wisdom is gathered, not soloed.
Reflection Questions
  • Who would I want walking beside me to a hard conversation?
  • Where am I going alone when company would be wiser?
