Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu .3.10
Blended reading (Sanskrit + English inline)
… and one example is as follows: One day, Mother Yaśodā was dreaming that the gigantic demon Pūtanā was lying on the courtyard of her house, and she immediately became anxious to seek out Kṛṣṇa.
She began to shake (sāttvika-bhāva) because of seeing in a dream the body of Pūtanā rolling around in her house. Thus the sāttvika-bhāva did not arise from either a primary or secondary rati. Then she began to search for Kṛṣṇa. This indicates an appearance of her genuine rati along with the sāttvika-bhāva.
This verse describes what happened in Yaśodā’s dream, since there is no scriptural description of the real event happening in her house. Because of the bewilderment caused by the dream, she immediately developed fear for Kṛṣṇa (an accompanying secondary rati) because of not seeing Him present.
