Serving the central New Jersey Hindu community since 2004, ISKCON of Central New Jersey operates the Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar Temple and Cultural Center in Plainfield. The temple worships three deity groups — Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar, Sri Sri Jagannath Baladev Subhadra Devi, and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai — and offers a regular Sunday Feast Program alongside cultural events, a children’s program, and a vegetarian restaurant (Govinda’s) on site, distinct from the much larger BAPS Akshardham temple elsewhere in the state.

Sources

  • historical record: Checked against the temple's own official website, which states it has 'been serving the central NJ community since 2004' and names its presiding deities (Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar; Sri Sri Jagannath Baladev Subhadra Devi; Sri Sri Gaura Nitai). Name and address independently corroborated via OpenStreetMap, which tags this location 'ISKCON of Central New Jersey.'

For review

  • This entry is distinct from the original candidate researched for this gap-filling pass, a reported ISKCON temple in Towaco, NJ; that location's existence could not be independently confirmed via any official website, Wikipedia article, or OpenStreetMap listing in this research pass, so it was not added. ISKCON of Central New Jersey, in Plainfield, is a separate, independently verified New Jersey ISKCON temple included in its place.
