Contribute

Every entry in this directory is a plain Markdown file with a small set of structured fields, validated automatically. Contributing is done through GitHub, the same way you'd contribute to any open-source project — there's no separate submission form.

Before you add a temple

• Every fact needs a source: a named scripture/text, a historical record, or an explicit "oral tradition" note.
• Don't fabricate dates, coordinates, or history. If something is genuinely uncertain, say so — use status: pending and a review_flags entry rather than presenting a guess as fact.
• Distinguish documented history from legend using documented_vs_legend.

How to submit

1. Fork or branch the GitHub repository.
2. Add or edit a file under content/temples/, content/divya-desam/, or content/beyond-earth/, following the field definitions in the repo's specs/001-temples-directory/data-model.md and the JSON Schema contracts in specs/001-temples-directory/contracts/.
3. Run python3 scripts/validate_content.py locally and fix any reported issues.
4. Open a pull request. Opening the PR is the submission — until it's merged, it's pending review and not part of the published directory.
