Location
Open in Google MapsISKCON Miami traces its founding to around 1970, with formal incorporation in 1973, making it one of the earlier ISKCON centers established in the United States during A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s lifetime. Its own recorded history describes a series of relocations across South Florida: from an initial Mary Street location in Coconut Grove, briefly to a church on NW 4th Street, then to a Kumquat Street site (1974-1976) where Prabhupada himself personally visited and lectured on the Bhagavad-gita, followed by a period near Florida International University (1976-1979, during which the community grew its own flowers and kept cows for temple milk), and a Miami Beach location (1979-1989) where its Sri Sri Radha-Vrajabihari deities were installed in 1983.
Since 1989 the temple has operated at its current and, per its own account, final location at 3220 Virginia Street in Coconut Grove. It maintains an active, detailed festival calendar — including the Sri Radhastami Festival, Sri Govardhana-puja, and the Advent of Bhagavad-gita — along with daily classes, including Spanish-language sessions, and an on-site gift shop, continuing to serve South Florida’s Gaudiya Vaishnava community today.

- historical record: Cross-checked against the temple's own official website, iskconmiami.org, whose 'Deity History' page states: 'ISKCON Miami was established around 1970 and incorporated in 1973...The first installed Deities were small deities of Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balarama and Lady Subhadra...On April 1, 1974 we installed our large Gaura-Nitai deities...Sri Sri Radha-Vrajabihari were installed on Lord Caitanya's appearance day in 1983...In 1989 the deities were again moved to what is our present and final location at 3220 Virginia Street in Coconut Grove.' The site's 'Founder/Acarya' page confirms A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada personally lectured on Bhagavad-gita at the temple's earlier Kumquat Street (1974-1976) location, and its 'Festivals' page lists the current calendar quoted above. Address and mailing address independently confirmed via OpenStreetMap/Nominatim geocoding of 3220 Virginia Street, Miami, FL 33133.

- Sourcing for this entry's detailed multi-decade history (temple relocations across Mary Street, Kumquat Street, a Florida International University-adjacent property, and Miami Beach before the 1989 move to the current Coconut Grove site) rests entirely on the temple's own official website; no independent secondary/journalistic source was found to corroborate this history, though the address and current operation are independently confirmed.
