Those whose very body and qualities are bliss like Mukunda’s, and who possess the highest prema for Kṛṣṇa, which is ten million times greater than attachment for the self are called eternally perfect.

Eternal Perfection Persons who have achieved eternal, blissful life exactly on the level of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and who are able to attract Lord Kṛṣṇa by their transcendental loving service, are called eternally perfect. The technical name is nitya-siddha. There are two classes of living entities—namely, nitya-siddha and nitya-baddha. The distinction is that the nitya-siddhas are eternally Kṛṣṇa conscious without any forgetfulness, whereas the nitya-baddhas, or eternally conditioned souls, are forgetful of their relationship with Kṛṣṇa.

Commentary

Those who have qualities which are eternal and whose very form is bliss (nityānanda-guṇāḥ) like Mukunda’s are called nitya-siddha. Mention of qualities here also represents bodies. Next, their chief quality is mentioned. They have prema which is ten million times greater (koṭi-guṇam) than the prema for the self. In the compound ātma-koṭi-guṇam, a word in the middle (prema) is missing.
